M.Esakkiammal

My name is M.Esakkiammal. I am a semi-orphan from Thiruvenkadanathapuram, a small village in Palayamkottai Taluka, Tamil Nadu, India. With the help of Empowering Young Lives, I attended Child Jesus Girls HSS in Palayamkottai, where I achieved a good score in high-school. Subsequently, I pursued my graduation in Commerce at St. John’s College, Palayamkottai.

M.Thangasubbu

I am M.Thangasubbu, the sister of M.Esakkiammal. With the assistance provided by EYL, I successfully completed my SSLC Examination (10th grade) with merits. Currently, I am attending Child Jesus Girls Hr. Sec. School in Palayamkottai.

P.Kalai Selvi

My name is P.Kalai Selvi. I am raised by a single mother, as my father had run away leaving our family to suffer. It was very difficult growing up but with the help of EYL, I was able to complete high school at St. Joseph Girls Hr. Sec. School in Palayamkottai. Later, I pursued B.Sc in Chemistry at Sri Saradha College for Women, Thirunelveli, and successfully completed my studies. I was a distinction student and was selected as a Chemical Analyst by SPIC, a renowned private limited company in Thoothukudi. Really thankful for all the opportunities.

T. Yuvasree

I am T. Yuvasree. I come from a family experiencing financial hardship, living below the poverty line. My parents were unable to take care of me. Thankfully, I got education sponsorship from EYL. I pursued my education at Mary Sargent Girls HSS in Palayamkottai, securing good marks in high-school. Later, I earned my B.Sc in Computer Science from Sadak Abudullah Appa College, Palayamkottai.

L. Muthuselvi

I am L. Muthuselvi. I am raised by a single father who works as a daily wage worker (hand-rolled tobacco worker). EYL helped me with my education enabling me to attend Mary Sargent Girls Higher Secondary School in Palayamkottai. Subsequently, I pursued and received my Diploma in Nursing from Thiruchendur, Tamil Nadu.

S. Arthi

I am S. Arthi, I come from an under-privileged background in a rural area. I pursued my high school education at Mary Sargent Girls HSS in Palayamkottai. Later, I earned my graduation from St. John’s College, Palayamkottai, Tamil Nadu.

P. Ramalakshmi

I am P. Ramalakshmi. Myself & my sister P. Kalaiselvi, both of us are from Denotified communities. I am supported by single mother as my father left us to struggle and never came back. With the help of EYL, I completed my high school education at Child Jesus Girls Hr. Sec. School in Palayamkottai. Following that, I am pursuing my Diploma in Nursing at Govt. Medical College, Thirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India.

C. Punitha Mary

I am C. Punitha Mary. Hailing from below the poverty line family, my parents were unable to take care of me. I hail from Sivakasi in Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu and I was rescued as a child labourer. With the help of EYL, I pursued my education at Mary Sargent Girls HSS in Palayamkottai.

I am M. Esakkiammal, aka Indhu. I come from an under-privileged family. However, with the help of EYL, I have successfully completed my B.C.A (Bachelor of Computer Applications) degree and am currently pursuing my M.C.A. (Masters in Computer Application) second year at Sara Tucker College for Women, Thirunelveli.

P. Gowri

I am P. Gowri. I am the sister of P. Vishnupraba, who is studying in the 10th grade at Mary Sargent Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai. Both of us come from Denotified communities. We are raised by single mother. Had a very difficult childhood due to financial problems and our father leaving us alone. With EYL’s assistance, I completed high school at Mary Sargent Girls Hr. Sec. School in Palayamkottai, And I am currently pursuing B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) at Sri Saradha College for Women, Thirunelveli.

S. Mariammal

I am S. Mariammal. Currently, I am pursuing my Diploma in Computer Science at IRT Polytechnic, Thirunelveli.

S. Kalavathi

I am S. Kalavathi. Coming from a very poor background, I faced a lot of challenges in our family. Education helped me to shed those challenges and pursue my career. EYL helped me pursue B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) Physics at St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, Thirunelveli.

M. Pramila

I am M. Pramila. With EYL’s empowerment program, currently, I am pursuing B.Sc. Chemistry at St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, Thirunelveli.

C. Sujitharan

I am C. Sujitharan. I am raised by single mother. I completed by high-school at St. John’s HSS in Palayamkottai. And now I am pursuing my graduation in Computer Science at M.D.T. Hindu College, Pettai, Thirunelveli. A big thanks to EYL in helping me with my education.

Y. Sivapandy

I am Y. Sivapandy. I was left alone and I have no idea about my family/parents. He is also studied in St. Jhons Hr. Sec. School at Palayamkottai.

S. Kali Raj

I am S. Kali Raj. My father struggled with drug addiction and eventually left the family. The challenges myself and my mother faced were enormous. EYL helped us with my studies. I have successfully completed my high school at St. John’s, Palayamkottai.

S. Esakki Muthu

I am S. Esakki Muthu. I consider myself very fortunate as I successfully completed my high school at St. John’s Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai.

J. Angelo

I am J. Angelo. I completed my Higher Secondary School Education at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi. Currently, I am in my third year, pursuing a Diploma in Polytechnic at FX Polytechnic College in Tharuvai, Thirunelveli.

X. Nithin

I am X. Nithin. I completed my Higher Secondary School Education at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai. I obtained my graduation from Sadak Abudulla Appa College in the discipline of Commerce and am currently studying in the first year of MBA at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Abishehapatti, Thirunelveli.

X. Naveen

I am X. Naveen. I completed my Higher Secondary School Education at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai. Currently, I am pursuing a Diploma in Polytechnic at IRT Polytechnic College.
