Our Mission
At Empowering Young Lives, our mission is crystal clear – to empower and uplift children, regardless of their background, by providing them with the tools, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. We believe that every child is a beacon of hope, a source of immense potential, and an investment in a brighter future for our world.
Our Story
As I reflect on the inception of our Child Empowerment Non-profit, it all began with a heartfelt desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children. It all started when I was a kid and looked at the under-privileged kids begging on the streets, struggling to eat, shivering in the cold winter without a blanket, trying to find a place to live, looking for opportunities to go to school and enjoy the normalities of life. It was all a painful sight and life seemed unfair. I have always felt compelled about doing something for these kids to the best of my ability and it started in the form of providing food, blankets, books, providing access to education, spending a day with them and trying to put a smile on their faces whenever possible and celebrating birthdays by providing service to them. Although these services were accomplished in an ad-hoc manner, the goal was always to create a space where dreams could thrive and children could discover their unique strengths. The idea of empowerment wasn’t just a concept but a mission to provide every child with the tools they needed to navigate life journey with confidence and resilience.
Our non-profit, aptly named ‘Empowering Young Lives (EYL)’ was founded on the belief that ‘Every Child Deserves a Chance’ irrespective of their background and that nobody should be devoid of any opportunities just because of their birth. We believe that by nurturing the aspirations of young hearts, we could contribute to a brighter and more compassionate future. Witnessing the transformation of hesitant whispers into powerful voices and small dreams evolving into significant endeavors, We realized the profound impact a supportive environment could have on a child’s growth. With each step, EYL became not just an organization, but a community dedicated to cultivating the seeds of empowerment, allowing children to blossom into the best versions of themselves. We dream and strive for a future where all the children have equal opportunities, resources, and tools to succeed. We believe we can make a bigger impact if we all come together and do our part in making the world a better place for the kids. ‘Life not lived for others is not a life worth lived.’
